Toy Workshop. During the year about 10 Toy Workshop are conducted with each workshop operating about 2 ½ hours. About 15 Club members volunteer their time to make wooden toys (estimate over 300 volunteer hours). These Toys are donated to underprivileged children through the Army Operation Santa Claus program and other worthy programs. In 2015, the Club donated 200 toys to YWCA El Paso Del Norte Region, 100 to Holy Spirit of Hope Catholic Day Care Center, 180 to Clint Elementary and Pre-K School, 500 to Operation Santa Claus, 40 to El Paso Center for Foster Care and 60 to Ysleta Pre-Kinder Classrooms. Approximately, 1500 toys are made at these workshops with about 1200 going to needy organizations. Additional toys made during these sessions are sold through the Club's gallery and participation at two Ft. Bliss Bazaars.

Little Free Library(LFL). https://littlefreelibrary.org The LFL program is a free book distribution program that makes books available to children who might not otherwise have access to books to read. Club members immediately saw the value of such a literacy initiative that would instill a love of reading, sharing, and recycling within communities, especially for a city that is known to have extremely low literacy rates. To date, the Woodworkers Club members have built and donated about 80 LFLs to this program), 10 in 2015.
If you are interested in an LFL, the club sells them for $100. These are sold unfinished and will need painting.
