    Info

The Woodworkers Club of El Paso, Texas was organized in January 1985. It is incorporated in the State of Texas and is a nonprofit charitable organization approved by the Internal Revenue Service under IRS Code 501(C)(3). The Club has two primary objectives. First, the Club promotes woodworking through demonstrations, seminars, classes, and similar activities. Second, the Club performs community service projects for other nonprofit organizations, the city and county governments, Fort Bliss, and other organizations, such as the local schools. In January of 2015, the Club celebrated its thirtieth (30th) year anniversary.

The Woodworkers Club of El Paso, Texas, Inc., is an organization whose mission is to provide “quality of life” activities in woodworking for El Paso, Las Cruces, Anthony and neighboring communities. Workshops, training classes in technique and skill development, as well as the opportunity to pursue individual projects are available for members in our well equipped facility. Club members make and donate wooden projects and toys to other non-profit organizations, for distribution through their programs to local disadvantaged youth.

An open membership meeting to the public is held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. An average of 45 members and guests attend the meetings and many of them participate in a show and tell of their projects. At most meetings there is a program conducted by factory representatives, Club members, or other invited guests.

To join the club please visit our facilities during working hours and one of the monitors working that day will sign you up.  The cost to join is only $72 per year dues with an initiation fee of $10.  If you join during the middle of the year the dues are prorated for the year.  Your spouse is able to join for only an additional $12 a year, and it is also prorated.
